Material Matters Meetup

On March 28, join members of the Vancouver Industrial Design Alliance Meetup Group at Emily Carr University for the 6th installment of “Material Matters”. Over the past few months we have seen a wide application of 3D printing, including high detailed figurines, mechanical parts, and large-scale objects. On March 28th we are going to find out how 3D printing has played a role in local design and engineering projects. Prosthesis, “The Anti-Robot” which is a larger than life mechanical robot leg, developed by a volunteer team of fabricators, engineering experts and the UBC Mechanical Engineering Team. Then, Rod Quin will turn the light (literally) onto physical surface imaging technologies, presenting Ombrae.
