Industrial Designer / Design Engineer, Mid-level – Fifo Innovations a FRANKE Company

What we’re looking for.

An Industrial Designer or Design Engineer to join our Product Development team. You will report to and work closely with the Design Director.
This is an opportunity to make a big impact in a small, innovative team and be part of a fun, ambitious and flexible culture – working with the most well known
restaurant chains in the world.

What we’re famous for.

We make equipment for restaurants. Okay okay, that might not sound that sexy, but we’re a pretty cool company. In 2004 we were a tiny start-up with big dreams.
We created the world’s first dual opening, bottom dispensing squeeze bottle – the FIFO BottleTM – and that seriously put us on the map.
Now with 3 core product lines and custom restaurant smallwares, our products are used by the top quick-service and casual dining restaurants worldwide.
We pride ourselves on our creativity and innovation, and our ability to create unique solutions for our customers. We are always searching for the next big idea.
We’re still a small team with a growing, start-up style environment and we are looking for people who share our entrepreneurial mindset and hustle. We work hard, but we also play hard and celebrate together.

What you’ll be doing.
Product development is the heart of our innovation machine. You will develop products and design concepts in CAD and through iterative product development. You’ll build and further establish the FIFO brand through improved product function, ergonomics and aesthetics. Since we’re a small company, we wear many hats. You may also be involved in market research, product testing, sourcing, etc, based on your abilities, interests and capacity.

  • A tenacious problem-solver who leaves no stone unturned – exploring every possibility to its appropriate end in order to find the best design
  • solution

Benefits and other cool stuff.

  • 3 weeks vacation
  • Extended health allowance to go towards whatever you want (massage, naturopath, dental, etc.)
  • Flexible work hours
  • All-you-can-drink-coffee from THE best coffee machine ever (the Franke FoamMaster 850). Seriously, Google it.
