Taymor is strengthening its leadership with the recruitment of a talented, business savvy Director of Category Strategy & Execution. The Director will be given the mandate to build the strategic category plans and product roadmaps that ensure Taymor has the portfolio of products to support their industry leadership in Canada, and the growth of their business in the US builder market. Building and executing plans that deliver on quality, design, price, sell-through, margins and market share metrics is critical. Taymor wants to be a leader known for design, innovation and quality at an affordable price.
The ideal candidate brings a track record of success in developing product and product category plans aligned with business strategic goals and objectives and based on a solid foundation of market intelligence, analysis, and an understanding of the competitive landscape. The ideal candidate has developed and executed strategic category plans that set the direction for the product roadmap and development, and the ongoing management of product category portfolios. The ideal candidate is an effective team leader, working cross-functionally with diverse professionals and business partners. Over their career, they have been responsible for proactively managing the relationship with third party manufacturers and ensuring the company has the partners in place to produce next generation product lines. They are effective in leading their own team of product and technical specialists and facilitating the management of complex projects, and ideally bring an exposure to the building products sector.
