Industrial Designer Openings, Bombardier Aerospace (Quebec)

Responsibilities:
As an industrial designer, you will play a key role in developing creative design concepts reflective of the premiere manufacturer of business aircrafts. You will also work on customer and competitive research and analysis, product architecture development, trend analysis, requirements definition, prototypes, storyboards and project planning.

Requirements:
You demonstrate strong sketching and modeling abilities as well as an extensive knowledge of 2D and 3D concept software.
You are knowledgeable with materials and fabrication procedures.

You are a creative, forward thinking person who generates a large quantity of good and varied ideas. You have a portfolio that demonstrates these skills.
You have sharp design eye, good judgment and an attention to detail.

You will work within a multi-disciplinary design team and engage on projects from the earliest stages through to the final product. You will be working with multiple business partners to meet business objectives and goals. You must be energetic, strongly self-motivated and able to motivate others.

Job Qualification:

- Minimum of 3-5 years relevant aviation design experience
- University (BID or BFA) and/or Collegial (DEC) Diploma of Interior or Industrial Design or equivalent.  Knowledge of the interior completion process and how it relates to the interior design of an aircraft would be an asset.
- Versed in the fundamentals of design, ergonomics, color theory, and presentation materials.
- Experience in cars, yachts, trains or luxury / high-end goods a significant plus.
- Knowledge of aerospace regulations & certification requirements a significant plus.
- Highly skilled in Photoshop and Illustrator.
- Good knowledge of Autocad and 3ds max.
- Knowledge of Rhino, Catia V5 and video editing software an asset.
- Fluency in French and English is an important asset.
