NRC Powder Injection Moulding (PIM) Information Session (Vancouver)

An information session on the multiclient project on the net shaping fabrication technology of metallic parts by Powder Injection Moulding (PIM) will be taking place Friday March 28th, 2007 at the NRC Institute for Fuel Cell Innovation (NRC-IFCI) at 4250 Wesbrook Mall, Vancouver, BC.

Pre-Registration is mandatory to participate. Please confirm your presence by fax to (450) 641 5105, or by email to the following address: Eric.Baril@cnrc-nrc.gc.ca.

The information session will allow you to:

  • Better understand the process and benefits of PIM.
  • Learn more on the unique infrastructure and leading edge equipments available at IMI.
  • Know more about the multiclient project on titanium powder injection moulding for medical, dental and aerospace sectors.
  • Participate to the initial direction of the project.

Employment Opportunity - Lead Industrial Designer

Start-up toy company looking for lead industrial designer. The candidate will provide product design and graphic design elements of new and existing products. Will work as an integral part of a 10 member multi-disciplinary product development team to conceptualize, problem solve and develop products effectively and efficiently. Willing to travel overseas to liaison with Asian and European manufactures.

Specific Skills
Bachelor´s degree in Industrial Design
2 + years of Industrial Design work experience, with Toy experience a plus

Conceptualization and sketching ability

Strong graphic design skills a plus
Fluency in English and Mandarin
3D Modeling Capability
Good prototyping skills
2D rendering capability: Illustrator and Photoshop
