Liz Sanders Liz is trained in Psychology and Anthropology and holds a Ph.D. in Cognitive Psychology. She is a pioneer in the use of participatory research methods in the field of design Some of her clients have included Apple, Coca Cola, Compaq, Hasbro, IBM, Intel, Kodak, Microsoft, Motorola, Procter & Gamble, Thermos, 3M, and Xerox. Liz speaks about and teaches human-centered research and design to clients, colleagues and students around the world. She is coming to speak at Emily Carr as part of an initiative to increase the awareness and practice of human-centered and participatory design methods.
Ms. Sanders is currently the President of the consulting firm MakeTools. She serves as Senior Lecturer in the Department of Industrial, Interior and Visual Communication Design at The Ohio State University. She is also on the Board of Advisors for the School of Design at Carnegie Mellon University.
